Delicate Arch-Milky Way

I was dinking around late at Delicate Arch waiting for the crowds to clear for some night shots. I pulled the trigger on this test shot just as someone lit their headlamp and "accidentally" light painted the arch for me. While I thought it was a throw away, it ended up being one of the best of the evening.

Hi Wick: Yes, very cool with a bit of light painting on the arch. I like the sky but would consider toning it down a bit. I would clone out the very bright source of the headlamp on the left side.

I really like this; it has a "feeling" to it. You feel like you were there when this happened. It gives a sense of place. Well done.

I'm fine with the dramatic sky, but I do agree with cloning out the bright light source. Very nice all in all.

Beautiful night sky to go with the arch. The lighting on the arch is good as well. I agree about cloning out he bright headlamp/light on the left.

Terrific capture. Good detail is brought out in the shadow areas (Lack of a better word). Agree with other comments regarding the source of the light. Thanks for sharing this image.

This is pretty sweet, Wick! actually, i think it might have been even better with the headlamp dude out in the open as part of the comp. There looks like a minor halo around the horizon line--otherwise looks great!

I concur with the majority that the cloning out of the light source does look better. Here's the adjusted version.
Thanks for all the comments.

Very nice. Inspires me to extend myself into night imagery with light painting.

Nice comp, repost looks much better, you can see what looks like a halo line or where you pasted the sky in along the horizon.

Todd,
Thanks for the comment. This is a single image, thus there was no "pasting the sky in". There may be a bit of an edge due to sharpening, but it's one image.
