Owlets

These Great Horned Owlets were shot last spring at the Ridgefield Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. The parents again used a nesting site in a broken tree trunk, not too high and just above the refuge drive thru roadway. Needless to say they were a very popular attraction for photographers.

Excellent as posted. This would also look good with the left cropped away for a square format.

Lovely subjects, beautifully captured. I especially like how the one looks like he is trying to hide in the broken tree trunk, and the other is peeking out behind him. :toast:

Pretty cool. They look like something out of a muppet movie. Techs are all good and the eyes jump out. Square of vertical would look good also.

Lovely image Craig- I like the comp as posted, but more of a crop from the left would work very well as Rich suggested.

Love how the feathers blend on the owlets and their arresting eyes. I too agree with the crop suggestion. Well shot Craig!

A must see large, love the two huddled so close together here.
Great comp as well, with the 'broken tree trunk' adding very good interest Craig..
