Photo taken at Americana, SP. Brazil.

This short-eared owl lived for at least two months on the same area in the city. I could go there about 8 times, finding the bird 5 out of 8.

1/200, f/5.0, ISO 400, @300mm. Aperture priority.

Canon 50D, 300mm f/2.8.

Sharp with a great pose and a nice soft BG to set the bird off Jefferson.
I especially like the diagonal perch & POV, with the bird looking upwards :wavey:

Nice image Jefferson. I so wish I could capture an image of any owl and it would be great to get one with this quality. Nice job.

You had some magical light there, Jefferson. This is a powerful image, those talons and legs are intimidating.

Beautiful owl - great pose , nice perch and complimentary BG.
I'd wish for a bit more of a head-turn to get that second eye in view.
Very fine image!
