I like these fellas, you can tell how moist they are. You captured their "squishiness" very well

Really good lighting showing the translucency of these mushrooms. The scene reminds me of a fairy tale

Nice composition, but I think the fungi are growing well below, not on, the leaning pine :)
They are dancers nonetheless. I like the fact that there are three and how you positioned them in the frame, and the sharpness you managed to achieve.

There's a fungus among us. :)

Nice lighting using the off-camera flash. You scripted a delightful comp and the lighting brought it out with a shout. Good One!

Charlie

Nicely exposed with flash. Beautiful one legged dancers they are! Kind or reminds me of bamboo pole dance in Malaysia where the dancers hop over moving bamboo poles.

Very nice perspective and overall comp, Charlie. I like how you got low, and shot upward, and the image is well balanced.

So happy with the comments you have all provided on this shot. This was taken on my favorite tree, this time of year, which is a heavily leaning pine with a fork in it's branches about 5 feet off the ground. It is heavily covered in moss, lichens and tiny mushrooms this time of year. Everything works to make this a greaat source for photos as the tree leans toward the south so that the moss covered part is facing upwards and has good light often. The really great thing is that I can shoot upward without getting on the ground.

" but I think the fungi are growing well below, not on, the leaning pine :) " Help me John I'm not at all sure what you mean.
