Lake Matheson is something of a New Zealand icon and I think my client and I were going through the motions a bit until this sunset made the experience pretty special.

The first word that comes to mind is pastoral. Beautifully processed, well balanced.

New Zealand icons feel quite fresh here. Iconic light, but still a new setting, at least for me. Very nicely done.

I can feel the peacefulness of this place. The calm water, the beautiful reflection, the sweet light in the sky all combine to create an image that makes me wish I could be a part of the scene.

Such a sweet Valentine's pink kiss of light on those peaks. Just the right moment here. I also like the symmetrical comp you have, and a natural amount of detail in the shadows. Beautiful image.

Beautiful reflection-scape Kah Kit. The colors and little bit of light striking the tops of the peaks are wonderful. Symmetry is of course excellent here and I even like the softness of the reflection; kinda goes along with the soft pastel colors.
Not sure if this would be an improvement, but I'll mention it anyway. I'm wondering about a crop from the left to eliminate the taller cluster of trees. I really like the symmetry and the diminishing height and converging lines and the far left takes away a little bit from the graphics. However, the trees on the left also help hold the composition and keep the eye from exiting the frame... so I could go either way. Regardless, it's a beautiful image.

Gorgeous location and its hard to imagine going through the motions in a place like this. The light sure did add to the scene Kah Kit. I first thought of a crop from left side in where the break in trees started but now Im not so sure.
Other than that, great job

Lon, I think cropping both both sides have some advantages. However I guess I have a personal bias against squarish formats unless there is a big gain.
