I always love shooting these guys as they are very responsive to playback. Victoria, Australia (28/1/13).
D800, 300 2.8VRII, 1.7TC, f/8, 1/500, ISO1100,
Thanks, Greg.

I like the colors and the BG, but I find it a bit too centered and symmetrical with the plants on both sides. If it were mine, I would crop off the left side and clone out the left plant to off-center it. Just a personal taste thing....Still a nice shot though.

Very nice, Greg. The cremey soft bokeh really makes this one pop. Adding a little black might make some of the colors pop a little better. Overall, very well done!

all the elements are nice, but overall it's a bit too sterile of a set-up for me, Greg--it looks more like a museum diorama with a stuffed bird than a real nature scene.

Beautiful composition, Greg. Lovely perch. In the larger version, it looks to my eye as if your point fo focus might be on the side of the bird-the beak looks just slightly soft.

No quibbles with the techs, but I agree with Kurt on the composition. The birds are sure different in Oz...

I agree with Brian. To me, it loks a little unnatural.

Wow, I don't see anything unnatural about this. Love it in every way. The included foliage adds a lot to the image, and the background is such a pleasing pastel peach. I would hang this on my wall!!
