Double-crested Cormorant, Florida subspecies (I believe, please correct me if I'm wrong)
Phalacrocorax auritus (floridanus?)

Nikon D40 (my old entry-level gear, which I did my best to make the most of)
18-200mm @ 200mm

ISO 200
Near full frame
Selectively reduced noise on BG and slightly increased sharpness on bird

nice one, Rebecka. I like the open bill, nice detail, and good look at that eye. nice colors in the bg too. I might consider more room in front, but I like it as posted too.
