Beautiful bird and comp Patrick. The large version on my monitor looks a little soft with some noise especially in th bg. Was this a heavy crop?

Hi Patrick: Pretty cool looking bird, nice pose, good exposure on the bird and background. Overall image quality seems to be suffering a bit. I'm guessing it is from a very large crop as well. The larger version really shows the noise problem. There just isn't any substitute for getting closer to the subject.

Nice pose and colors Patrick. My thoughts mirror what Keith has already mentioned.

Nice composition, Patrick. The image seems rather noisy to me. I think I'd run some noise reduction on at least the bg.

I saw my first common yellow throat at SJWS but never did get a shot, way to go.
