Chestnut-breasted Corone

Another image from Ecuador. These Chestnut-breasted Coronets were trying to keep one another away from the feeder. This was taken at a multi-flash set-up, using a Nikon D800 camera, a 300 mm lens, tripod.

Thanks for looking and critiques appreciated.

Good interaction and marvelous detail. Was this from a blind?

Phil, not from a blind but from a multi-flash set-up.

Wonderful shot, love the story. In the larger photo, look at the lifted foot of the right bird. Is that a great example of its anatomy?

You must have fast reflexes to have caught this action....very cool  I like that the aggressor is actually stepping toward his foe.

Very nice capture of classic Coronet behavior, May. Fine work with the multi-flash. Latin America sure beats winter in Fairbanks or Saskatoon, doesn't it?

great action, May. love the raised foot of the bird on the right--I've never seen a hummingbird that looks like it's walking.

Great shot May. By capturing 2 birds you've managed to show us their front and rear plumage. Cool.
