I was amazed by the intricate and flowing lines of this Daffodil , i thought at first that it was a Dandyloin shot early last may because before this image. in my May 2012 file. i shot a few Dandyloins!!! these were the only flowers blooming this early in may.! then Ram mentioned it looked like a Daffodil !! this made me think. i do have a Daffodile in my garden, and i forgot that it's the first flower to bloom in the spring,if you look in my gallery. second page. 7th line down, this dandyloin #89 was shot the same day i shot my Daffodile.#94 in my same may 2012 file thats where the confusion started. Comments appreciated.

Just as everyone else, I would never guess that this was a dandelion. I have never seen a dandelion without that thick sheath of long, pointed, green sepals that cover the flower when it is closed. I wonder if you caught it very early in development of the flower. (Also, you may be on to something, with your idea of "some kind of hybrid." There are dozens of species in the aster family (Asteraceae) that look almost exactly like dandelions.)
Daffodil or dandeloin, this is a fine image.
My resolution for 2013.. To capture a daffodil like this
Cheers.
