i captured this male gambel's quail while it was shooting across a parking lot near the visitor's center at bosque del apache last november. i like it because everytime i see i have to smile. 7d, 500mm f/4l, 1/1250, iso 400 and ai servo af. pp in cs5, lr4, 80% ff, levels, contrast and usm. i appreciate all feedback. thanks-this is my very first post.

Pretty cool to get him mid air. I like it too. Sharp in the face, and a little motion blur where there is movement, so that's okay. Welcome to NPN. :toast:

Cool, Danny. I never did get a shot at one, though I saw them several times. I love the running pose.

He seems like a man( bird ) on a mission with a tight agenda. Colors are lovely and background sets him off. Would have loved to see his face but amazing you got what you did.
