The Elephant
by Balan Vinod
Folks,
This one is from the morning, and there were a couple of them, and each one had a calf. They are domesticated to do odd jobs at the sanctuary. For some reason the mahout had vanished for a while they took a small tour of the nearby wild. They had gone to their usual wild self, had a mud bath, had some freedom. Thats when I landed up for a photo shoot. For about 10 minutes they were at their natural self. With a elephant in front of you, about 15 meters away, and with a 70-200 lens. Decided to take a few pics of its head.
Does this frame work. FF and not cropped

6 commentsMy disappointment with it is that the initial promise of sharpness in the textures is not borne out upon closer inspection.
May be you can apply some additional sharpening in the front area.
