Dark-Eyed Junco

I was out testing the effectiveness of my photo blind this afternoon and this Junco was trying to figure out where I was sitting. Apparently, the blind worked very well! I chose this image because of the way the bird's head was tilted as it was checking out the blind. Thank you for looking................Jim

Great capture of this little bird. Sharp detail of the beak and reflection in the eye. I might of tried stopping down your aperture a couple of stops as the coverts (I think those are the feathers) seem a little soft, or maybe try some selective sharpening there. I'd say overall though you could pronounce you blind a success.

Well taken! I like the detail you captured in this photo. Also, the way the light area behind its' head works to highlight the juncos head. Thanks for sharing.

Nice composition, I like the the bright area in the background is behind the bird.

Nice pose and capture, I like the slightly brighter OOF behind the bird.

Very nice, Jim. I've always liked Juncos and you caught this one with a very nice head turn. I like the white blob in the bg and the way it spotlights the bird.
