Val Roseg Stream

This is a shot from a trip to Engadin, Switzerland last October.
Somehow the color version was not really working for me, so I tried the B&W.

Thanks for looking, C&C are welcome.

I think the BW works very well. The tones and textures are nicely rendered. Composition is great and invites the eye in to the land. The water exposure is spot-on. My only suggestion would be to crop out some of the sky/cloud above the peak as I think it draws attention away from the scene. Great foreground, an over-all excellent image.

A very good B&W image Shantikara. I like everything about your photograph except I agree with Brad that it could be improved by cropping the sky a little.

Your post processing has produced a very clean image, with an ideal composition.

Great leading lines and nice tonality to the image. Really nicely done BW and I like the sky as is.

Excellent composition and b&w conversion. I agree with the several comments regarding a slight crop of the sky. I also think the image is a bit flat and would increase the midtones to add some contrast between rocks and mountain. Nicely done.

What a great looking scene! I like this as is and especially enjoy your b/w conversion with this. I also think the crop suggestions of the upper sky works well too. Nice work!

This works very well in b&w. The curve of the stream leads nicely to the peak. I like the sky in the original post, especially with that bit of cloud at the top that is mirrors the shape of the peak. The third repost is also very nice because of the mostly clear sky and the arch of cloud that mimics the arch of the stream.

Another version with a less distracting sky.

Nice composition with leading lines, the smaller snow covered mountain peak plays a big role in it complementing the central one.. I like the rendering tonality , good choice..

The second is much better for me. The sky in the original looked like some broken up plane contrails. The simple sky works for me. Magical spot you found.

Your second repost with the less distracting sky works best for me Shantikara. The stream provides a great lead to the wonderful B&W tones.
