Winter Tree #11

Here is a more appropriate version; I find the 720px limit to be antiquated. The link should scale according to your device/browser. (Unless your in an old ASNOVA Ruskie structure in Siberia surfing with IE6)

Black as coal, the branches and trunk of the tree contrasted the blizzardous snow fall. I love days like these.

The larger view (which did scale to my browser, Yay!) is exquisite with detail. The tree's character with it's squiggly lines and symmetry is wonderfual, as is it's blackness against the white snowfall. High art, Matt, high art. :toast: :toast:

The scaled larger view is way cool. It feels like you are totally immersed in full winter conditions. Exceptional capture!

I especially like the snowflakes between the camera and tree.
I can’t help but wonder how the comp would look with the tree of center.

The large view is very nice. I like the play of white on black all over the tree.

Matt, your centered and static composition adds to the nice sense of balance and serenity in this scene to me. Wonderful details for me in the larger version, must be amazing as a large print.

This is super nice! I LOVE the branches on that tree and the sprinkling snow that softens the contrast. Awesome shot!

Love your winter tree images Matt! This one is no exception.

If I had a wish, it would be for more space up top. But then again, I appreciate the somewhat uncoventional comp with the tighter vertical with extra negative space left and right - tree centered. This works for me with or without more room up top. Excellent!
