We have the most amazing winter sunrises here in the CO foothills. This is a single exposure exposed for the highlights. With Camera Raw 6 and the Nikon D800, you can pull so much detail out of the shadows, that if you're not careful, you can make the image look like bad HDR. I hope I didn't go too far here.

A beautiful photo, Dan. I love the splash of contrasting colors in the sky and how the mountain landscape grounds the image.

Your processing looks great to me. How are you liking the Nikon D800?

Lovely color in the sky and pretty amazing to get that much detail in the foreground with that seemingly bright sky. Looks great to me.
