Promised to post a non ice abstract. Here's one from my favorite spot in La Jolla, CA on the Mayan Apocalypse.

Canon 5D2, Nikon 14-24 two shot blend for exposure purposes.

The foreground is very interesting. Great comp. There is a green line on the right lower corner that was probably there but I find it distracting. Maybe its my monitor but the sun seems a bit to high contrast to my eye. Great image. Again nice comp.

I love the comp and the colors. Those few greens in front are really set off by the oranges present. I do note that the water reflection looks a tad brighter than the sky. Is that ok?

True, it does look like the end of the world. Too bad they were wrong! Nice imaging, Jimmy. The reflections are wonderful.

I like the foreground and the bright colours. The gradients moving through the reflection are smooth and have great tones. My one critique is that the sky looks a little dark relative to the foreground.

Wow, the sunset/rise is absolutely beautiful!! However, the foreground doesn't do much for me. It's interesting but... Sorry. But if you were to pano the sun, I'll be the biggest fan of it!

What an insane sky you caught there. Even with that crazy color, it takes a backseat to the reflected light and color on that alien looking foreground. Excellent!

Great job. I like it both ways. The green could be algae growing in the water.

Great color and interesting geometry. Looks like a place to visit in various lighting to highlight foreground, sea, or sky as conditions allow/dictate. Nice job.

This is just lovely. I love the patterns on the ground and how they interact with the colors in the sky.

You are really in your element at this location, Jimmy. :toast:
