One of the Survivors

House finches have been getting hammered by disease and Cooper's hawks at my feeders. This is one of the healthy ones and seems to be doing OK. K10d, 300mm f4 DA*,natural light, slight crop for composition, Topaz Detail. I'm eagerly waiting for Spring. Thanks for looking!...................Jim

Very nice Jim. Wonderful details in the plumage. I always like simple backgrounds like this one.

A beautiful image of this guy. I absolutely love his pose and the simple and clean perch. The BG works really well with his red coloring. I get lots of house finches in my back yard to practice on but haven't gotten such a clean capture as this except on man made objects (i.e. birdbath).
