Think we will make it now, as spring is showing signs of renewal.

I love the furry little buds with the side lighting. I wish this were just a tad brighter, but nice as is, especially the large image.

I agree, Phil. I thought I liked it this way but the shadows should be brought up. I feel only the large version shows this the way I like, so I'm not going to redo with this post. Thanks.

We're still hoping for more winter here, Charlie. We didn't get started until mid December, and then it stopped through most of January.
I like the lighting and the story the subject tells. The large version has very nice detail, but the dark background shows some noise. That could easily be solved by bringing down just the darks. I like it.

Interesting view, with the focus on the bud in the middle and the bit peaking from behind the stem. The thumb, in particular seems dark, but especially in the larger version, I don't see any room to expand the brights. The lighting on the sharp bud looks just right, with a nice glow in the "fuzz".

Great lighting and comp in this image, Charlie. Seeing this is a sure sign that spring is on its way! I especially like the middle backlit bud with the little wisp of fuzz extending out from the right side of the branch.

Nice Composition & Lighting choice Charlie although i wish it was a tad bit brighter (for some odd reason the larger version looks a bit brighter & spot on for my choices)
what's the name of the Flower btw?

I like the lighting on this a lot. I only wish the top bud was a little more in focus. My favorite part is definitely that middle backlit bud!

Charlie:
Like the mysterious dark mood and the middle portion really shines.
