Leaf on LEAF

This small Maple leaf landed on one of my variegated Hosta leaves. The little leaf is pretty well outdone by the Hosta leaf but I like the way it looks on the larger leaf and the contrast it provides.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/22 at l.3 sec. ISO 100. Tripod mounted, flash fired.

This captures the eye... textures, lines, colors...almost surreal belonging in abstract art. Lovely...nicely seen! Keenly composed.

The colors & lines here are just splendid! I wish a little bit more of the smaller leaf was in focus but still this is an awesome shot!

Lucy, this is a type of variegated Hosta that has blue in its leaves. Processing did make this a bit more saturated but is very close to realistic. One reason I love Hostas.

This is well seen, with the similar colors but strong contrast in line, shape, and size between the two leaves.

Very nice composition, lines and colours. To me the whole picture looks a bit soft as well. Nevertheless a very striking image!
