The Waxwings have been back a week or two now, grabbed a shot this morning. Can't do much about the shadows, but it does show off those red pens nicely.
F/9, 1/500th, ISO 500, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x ext and natural light around 9:00 this morning. Mostly clear with some high clouds.

Lovely , Howard. You got the fine grained detail on the bird, with almost all the bird in good focus. Considering this was a shot down the length of the bird, really good work! The bird also shows well against the neutral background. :toast:

Very nice capture Howard-I love the background and the lovely morning light-the shadows are a non-issue IMO.

This is quite nice and shadows are no problem here. :wavey:
That "honey hole" you have sure is a magnet for the species some never get to see here in Texas.. :toast:

Wow, very nice Howard. Also don't think the shadow is any problem. Also, as my 8 yr old son is currently saying over my shoulder "wow - that's a painting, you ain't fooling me. It's so beautiful."
