Cloud Catchers

This one was taken last Fall near Silverjack Reservoir here in Colorado. The pinnacles leading up to Big Mesa are a little intimidating in size and make one feel quite small.

C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

LARGE VERSION INCLUDED,

Morris

WOW! You did an excellent job of capturing the scale of these formations especially in the large version. The aspens in the FG really add to an already interesting composition. Very well done. :toast:

Morris,
This is a stunning photograph and I could not agree more with what as already been said. To add my 2 cents though, I would like to express my first impression of the composition you choose with the amount of ground at the bottom and the equal amount of sky at the top that gives such a delicate balance that adds so much to the image.
Well Done . . . :toast:

Very nice. I'm glad to see the hints of texture left in the clouds. Everything balance very nicely here.

Another beauty, Morris. The diffused light really brings out the autumn color. I also like the way that the pinnacles are enveloped in fog.

The pinnacles are very impressive indeed Morris. Your photo looks very realistic, something I find difficult to do when there is mist and fog involved.

Morris, an extremely impressive fall scene here. The shrouded lightly fog covered pinnacles are still very easily viewable from this perspective. The subdued lighting really enhances the autumn colored aspens as well as adding to the feeling of the fall season too.
