Waterfall Ghost

This image was captured in Costa Rica last March. The story behind the image:

This young Costa Rican boy was swimming in the pool in front of this waterfall. He climbed up on this rock when I already had this composition in my viewfinder. I was hoping he would hold still long enough to pull of an image. He did... This was just one of the images I captured during a 4 hour shoot at this waterfall.

I entered this image in the annual NANPA Expressions contest and am pleased to say that it received a Tier 1 (Top 10) selection for the 2012 Expressions contest. I hope you enjoy the image.

Techs:

Canon 5D, 70-200 f/4 L @ 200mm
1.3 Seconds @ f/18
Blue/Gold Polarizer
ISO 200

Full Frame.

Wow, this is really an amazing image Keith. I'm really going to have to adjust my thinking the next time a person steps into one of my compositions.

I like the interaction of strewn rocks and person... it asks a lot of questions for the viewer.

Very cool. I do find the colours a bit odd and wonder if a black and white might be even more effective. Congrats!
