Indian Elephant family in the open grassland. This image is from one of my lucky folders, which never disappoints me.
Thank you so much for your kind attention & views!

Hi Jageep, I like the detail and composition of this shot and especially like the way the elephants heads are arranged at different heights. However did you manage that?

I am drawn to the left side of the frame however, and wonder what a vertical crop capturing the three elephants on that side of the frame woudl look like? Great image of this elephant family outing, well done.

cheers
Rick

Jagdeep, I'm not sure I understand Rick's crop suggestion, but I wonder what how the image would look with the 3 elephants on the left side cropped off as the two elephants on the right are what I enjoy the most. This crop would completely change your concept of the image though and it is very nice as presented as well. I'm going to have to look on my computer to see if I can find a "lucky folder"!

Jagdeep, the exposure is lovely. The textures and colours are wonderful. I am not sure about the composition though, the image seems to lack a focal point.

Aha so that is where you produce all these great elephant images from, your Lucky Folder! This works well for me Jagdeep; great light, nice grouping and for me the main focal point is the small one leading the herd.

Great photo. Personally, I enjoy it exactly as it stands and wouldn't change the crop. Each animal adds something here and the space in front of them helps to underscore their forward movement.

Wonderful image as usual. Elephant herd in the grassland in warm light with that treeline in the background - this scene looks so mesmerizing!
