I love to visit Colorado and I'm always delighted to find wild columbines on our travels. Haven't been to Colorado in some time and not sure when we will get back so Chrissy brought Colorado to us. I especially liked the varying stages and orientations of this bunch. All comments welcome.>=))>

They are lovely and you did so well Bill. I've got to look for this combination of color.

Now I can't wait for Spring and Summer in the mountains, Bill! These are growing well in that good Texas soil! I love the "around the clock" comp and the great color. Beautiful portrait!

I love this composition. Beautiful colors. One of my favorite flowers. Looks like something or someone has been picking flowers.

Just lovely, Bill ! You have a way with composing groups of flowers that I envy - here it is especially how you've got the upper R flower and bud turning away against the dark bg. All beautifully lit.

I love the arrangement of flowers and the clarity is superb.

I have a couple of nits about the color balance. I'm accustomed to columbines being a powder blue. These seem a little too dark and saturated. I also think the yellow centers need to be warmed up. Was this shot in the shade? That might explain it.

Mark: These were in shade but I did tweak the WB a bit to account for it. I'm not sure where these plants originated but they do have a slightly different color than what I remember seeing in the wild in Colorado. . . Bill
