Last of my snow images for the season. This was taken the day after winter storm Nemo. Snow's all gone now and everything is brown. Can't wait for spring.

Pentax 67II
Pentax 67 300mm EF
Velvia 50
Overexposed +2 Stops

Thanks for having a look.

Eva, we still have plenty of snow up here! More coming on Tuesday! This is a pretty scene but I do find it to be too blue/purple. Must be the Velvia. Maybe just an adjustment there. Otherwise, very nice.

Very nice Eva, Love the lines in the snow and the grasses. The high key works for me.

Ditto on the blue from the Velvia, and I like it better with the top cropped off for a pano of the simpler elements at the bottom. It has a nice flow from left to right with the shadows leading the way across. I've taken some from the last snow we had here, but am having a little trouble getting it to look right. :frown:

This is a nice shot Eve. I love the lines and structures in the snow . Nice scene. For me it looks a bit too bluesih and purple, too

Eva, I'll go along with the blue and purple tints being a bit strong, but otherwise I really like this. I think your comp is excellent and I like the grasses in the top half a lot. This does have a nice flowing feel.

Looks very nice as is Eva, but might also entertain the pano look as another view possibly. Regardless, a nice parting shot on the snow for this season, maybe?
We had a minimal winter this year, not good for us at all come summer time. :frown:

I sure do like all the drift lines in the lower 2/3rds and the two isolated plants. I'm less sure about all the stalks at the top. After spending some time looking, I think cropping half of the stalks at the top adds emphasis to the drift lines while still showing the surroundings.

I like it a lot Eva, looks really good. Not an easy exposure for velvia 50 i guess, but i think it is perfect.

This image is flat out amazing. Love the drift patterns in the snow and your wonderful composition, but what I find so incredible is how you managed to retain color and detail in the grasses AND texture in the snow with such a high contrast scene, with Velvia film. You nailed the exposure. And then retaining those attributes with the scan. Exquisite work, Eva, truly an exquisite image.

You must have a blast with that 300mm ED; a lens I could never find back in the 90's when I had my Pentax67. Can't be too many of them around these days. The 300mm ED and the 400mmED always had great reputations for sharpness.

Hi Eva :wavey: What a finale :jump: I too have many scenes like this on my farm, but to capture them like this is amazing.... the perspective is perfectly composed ... the light and lines are magical. wish it were mine. :toast:

Nice texture and detail, Eva! Now that you said that, you'll probably get dumped on again big time!

Beautiful lines and textures. I'm hoping there will still be a little snow on the Big Horns when I get home next month. Love the SW but I'm missing my mountain. Your snow makes me homesick...it's a beautiful thing
