Okay, attempt number 2. I like the comp of this better than the first but do appreciate your insights regarding the HK/low contrast. >=))>

HK gives this a wonderful pastel palette and a painterly, watercolor wash look. I really like this, Bill. It's different, creative and refreshing. Good comp, too.

Yes, I like this one better, Bill. More unique comp and better visibility of the leaf and flower. The high-key processing in this image gives a soft, pastel look. Agree with Catherine that it has a painterly, watercolor wash look.

Well composed, better than the first, but I still feel it is too washed looking for me.

I love the composition of this Bill but for me, it might be a little too washed.

This certainly works much better for me than the first, Bill - the composition seems quite a bit stronger. My only nit is the high sat of the yellows along the inner edges of the flower - this brings a slightly too bright note I feel, whereas the pale mauve tinges and the textures in the lower part of the flower are a delight.

The more I look at this , the more I like it, I find it very appealing, and very different. The washed look works for me. Beautifully seen and presented Bill.
