Redbud

The redbud started blooming last week and I was impressed by this one right at the entrance to the local nature center. So as I was leaving I decided to take a few shots. I still had my setup for wildlife so I couldn't get the "big picture" so I thought I'd experiment and see what things looked like though the telephoto compressing the DOF. It sort of worked in that the flowers appear more densely distrubed that it appears to the naked eye. I warmed this up just a bit. I liked the nice palette of color here with the magenta of the flowers, the green of the new leaves, and a bit of blue poking through here and there. Comments and critiques are very much appreciated.

I like this, Peter - the colour range is very attractive and the spray moves across the frame nicely. The fg blurred foliage is a bonus.

Peter:

The color palette is quite nice. I also like the fg blur and wish the bg leaves were just a little blur as well. Overall, nice effect.

Peter: Redbuds are one of my favorite trees; we have one in our yard that I anticipate every spring. Delightful shot. >=))>
