Radiating Crocus

I don't post much in this gallery but recently concocted this image. I liked the crocus on the original picture but the background was no good so I decided to play around with different backgrounds. What I ended up with I thought looked appropriate for the Spring/Easter season.

Panasonic DMC-FZ28. 12mm at F/5.6 for 1/500 sec. ISO 100.

Fascinating perspective this this !! Very 3D look about it and the love the graduated background, that helps with the effect for sure Carolyn. This is one heck of a shot to start with, great macro shot. Those cradling petals makes this IMO.

All the best Carolyn, excellent work.

Danny.

great dimensionality, Carolyn. The background color is perfect, and the "X" lines really pull the eye in. Keep playing, you may have a knack for these :).

Well done Carolyn. I like the BG, comp, centering of the flower and to top it off the bee adds greatly. Very nice.

The "starburst" background works perfectly with the crocus and bee. Sure makes the picture "pop".

Really like what you've done with this Carolyn! The BG really adds some zing :jump:
I planted some of these (crocus) in the fall, hope to get some shots when they finally come up
