Campanula barbata

by Roberto Facchini

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted March 23, 201394 views4 comments
Waiting for the spring bloom, I send a photo of last summer. I wanted to photograph the bearded bellflower (Campanula barbata) in a natural position, but also to show the interior of the flower. So I removed a part of the corolla.

Canon eos 5d mark II, 180mm macro lens, f/11 1/100 sec. ISO 400, LR4

Interesting detail. I did not realize how hairy Campanula flowers are!

Nicely done, Roberto. Your image has both artistic merit and botanical interest as it provides a beautiful and somewhat scientific (like a floral dissection) view of the details of the campanula, right down to the tiny hairs. Excellent detail and a nice clean bg.

Unusual view of the flowers interior with petal missing, I like this Roberto.
Nice soft light, great looking natural color, BG, & details..
Well done!:toast:
