Raven Quartet

Canon 5D Mark II, Tamron 70-300. The raven is my favorite bird and these guys love to congregate at the very top of a tall walnut (I think) tree. I simplified the branching so it wouldn't compete with the birds. Comments welcome.

Lucy...not sure what all was done with your post processing on this. As posted there is much noise in the bg, perhaps from a very large crop or an increase in exposure? I like the silhouette effect, but usually (not always) an odd number like 3 would work better for a small group of birds. I love the lines of all the branches. Sharon

Hi Lucy: Interesting effects. Looks like it might belong in Photo Art? Let me know. I'm fine leaving it here, but guessing it might receive more feedback in Photo Art.

Keith,
I'd prefer to leave it here if that's OK. Other than the bgd and deleting some branches there's really little if any processing. Thanks. a lot.

Sharon,
The bgd was done with Color Efex Pro4. There was no noise and I deliberately added a bit to give the image a bit of texture. I compared both and like it better than the smooth version. Thanks for checking in.
