Lines, Feathers & Shapes

Here's another icestract, taken Tuesday after what will hopefully be our last major freeze of this year...I'm ready for Spring! The lily leaf in the upper right has me thinking of the Thespian sad mask (only a bit more colorful). This is a 9 shot stack for top to bottom sharpness, processed with TK's triple plays and luminosity painting. (5D3, 100mm macro L, f/8, 1/13s, iso 200, tripod, cable release, mirror lockup and polarizer)

You came away with a nice set of images from this shoot Mark, and I think this is my favorite of the bunch. Really nice shapes, forms and colors, an excellent composition. :toast:

You've carved out quite the niche with your 'icestract' work, it really is amazing.
I like this best from what you've posed thus far, and the LP is a real treat for the eye..
It seems your imagination has no limits:smile:
Outstanding:toast: :toast:

Beautiful colors, with a nice balance. The large crystal in the middle creates a great focal point.

I'm not sure I've seen 1 photographer have 2 weekly pics in the same week. That certainly speaks to the quality of these images. Thanks for sharing and congratulations!

Great mix of elements Mark. I'm trying to identify just one element and I'm unable to do so, but it just doesn't matter! It keeps me trying  Nicely done with the focal stacking, perfect subject for this.

Not only is the image itself great, but the technique involved to pull it off is impressive. It takes a lot of effort, concentration and know-how to make it all come together successfully in the field. Excellent work.
