Dark Eyed Junco

Gallery: AvianPosted March 31, 2013167 views7 comments

During the last blizzard I discovered this Junco taking shelter under the azalea bushes. Sometimes it pays to do the laundry and look out the basement windows. Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens.

Hope you enjoy!

Nicely captured. I like the falling snow and the snowy background/foreground sets off the junco well.

Sweet endurance! I like the fluffed patience of the Junco.

The snowflakes and the bird's expression really add to this. Plus makes me glad I'll be in shorts tomorrow in AZ
