Flyin High in April

I'd just pulled out of the driveway on my way to the zoo this morning to see if I could get anything for WC#578, when I saw this kite stranded in a tree. The words to the Sinatra song That's Life popped into my head, and since I had the camera sitting right there on the passenger seat, I stopped and took a snapshot.

Pentax K-5, f/8, 1/60s, Tamron 17-50 at 50mm, moderate polarizer

After I got home, I thought it could work for Man and Nature; your thoughts?

Childhood trauma! The amount of string I used for my kite was so much (I wanted my kite to go as high as possible), that it snapped and my kite ended up in some tree very far away.

As a reminder of that tragic event this shot works very well, but as a standalone picture not so much imho. The kite is very centered in the frame and the composition looks rather random as a result - no offense of course. My guess is that this would work better when shot with a longer lens so you can more clearly see the kite and the string entangled in those branches, the branches themselves more clearly separated as graphic lines, and the kite nicely contrasting against the pure blue background. Just my thoughts.
