Little River Whitewater

I just returned from a couple days in GSMNP. I was hoping to find some signs of spring but unfortunately virtually nothing was in bloom. And do to icy conditions in the higher elevations and a landslide on the NC side, US441 was closed at Newfound Gap. So I spent some time attempting some landscapes along the Little River and Laurel Creek roads, but that didn't pan out either. I did however find some interesting comps along the streams which were running strong. This is one from my first afternoon from a section of Little River. Slight crop from top, larger image included.

Although things maybe did not work out overall as you'd planned and hoped for, this is a very fine capture, Bill. The fast moving whitewater is dramatic, but also seems to have a calming effect too, especially in the larger version. Glad your extra efforts paid off with this nice river scene.

Has a very nice feel to it Bill, I think the flow and speed of the water comes through nicely. Compositionally the proportions are spot on.
