On a Thin Line

You would have seen the image from Murali last week. Well its the same subject that we were making images of, and were shooting from different points of view. The seeds were hanging on a thin line of spider web.

This is my POV, and was shooting with cross light, and I think technically I had a challenge with the DOF, as I was on a longer lens.

7D, 70-200 with extn tubes

Thanks NPN for your support

This just doesn't do it for me. It would help if the "thin line" were visible.

I like the capture of the caught seeds and, unlike Phil, I like the fact that they appear to be caught in mid-air. I also like the light on the seeds and the bg behind the seeds. I'm not as enthusiastic about the rest of the image but, overall, it works for me, Balan.

I really like this, Balan. The way that the seeds on the left look, the darkness of the shot, and the way that the seeds are hanging on to the spider web. All of this works together very well.

I like this Balan, it looks like the seeds are releasing.

So well seen and beautifully photographed, Balan ! Personally I like the composition, with the slightly soft plant forms to the L.

I'm coming around to this. Now, I have the impression that the seed heads are being blown off the plant. The plant itself is nicely crammed into softness that makes a good contrast to the seeds. New life, freed from the mother plant, as it were… I like it that the image made me think.

I like that you can't see the spider silk...it gives the wonderful impression that the seeds are flying off the plant! Cool image!
