I usually leave the tree photos to the experts, like Lon, but a blah Spring in Northeast PA has me looking for new things. D90, all comments welcomed. Please see larger post.

Interesting and a bit unusual. Lots of detail and structure. I keep going back and forth between the top and bottom and find myself wondering if all sky or all brush in the bg would produce a more cohesive image. I like it as is, though.

Hi Bill,
Sorry I'm slow to respond here, I sure haven't been very active these past few months... but since you mention me by name, I should probably acknowledge and say thanks!
I like what you've seen and captured here, but I'm not sure if it makes it to the "order from chaos" category. That lone red leaf works despite it's very small size. Actually, my thoughts echo exactly what Nancy Lea commented on. To expand on her thoughts, a square crop of just the bottom I think works better to showcase the unique bark of the sycamore? and also help emphasize the diagonal lines. Also the red leave becomes more prominent. Conversely, a crop of the top emphasizes the randomness of the branches against the pleasing blue sky (nice that it didn't get washed out.) Still, the top half is left with any ordered structure, but I think stands alone better than the whole frame as presented.
Just some thoughts.
Lon
