Although a tad out in right-center field Charlie  - I like the contrasting colors of the bird against the background and the fiery pedal blossoms.

Love the perch Charlie, of course I wish he was ready for his close-up....maybe next time? I have been sort of successful one time getting close enough to one of these. They are skittish out here.

Stil a pleasant shot of the bird in its surroundings. Only thing that is a little distracting is the diagonal branch in the upper right - I would try to clone this out if it were mine .. Cheers, Hans

A very colourful image Charlie. It works well as an overall image even though the bird itself is quite small.

Really nice shot with a great feel Charlie. I would consider cropping in from the right to eliminate most of the OOF diagonal branch or whatever it is. I think the comp may still work that way. Just a suggestion for a wonderful image.

A very pleasing composition, that proves close-up portraits aren't always necessary to make a beautiful bird photograph. The curvy branches and red blooms are wonderful.

Sweet Photo Charlie

A beautiful bird in a beautiful habitat! Of course, close ups are wonderful, but I also love shots like this. Very nicely done!
