Nikon D600 ..
150mm macro 2.8.. f/4 .. @1/320sec iso320.. ev +0.3... 3 sec delay cable release .. hand held ... like Nathan .. laying on my belly. on a board..
This year, the Crocuses were very fragile, because of the previous frost and snow. i had only two sunny days, before the cold weather returned and ruined the crocuses..
comments appreciated.. please see the large version and the repost

Very nice, Albert. You certainly made good use of the light, and good dof management. I like the way you got the centers of the two up front crocus in focus. :toast:

Excellent and original composition, Albert - a triangle leaning into the frame and giving a sense of movement. Lovely colour and crisp detail in the flower centres.

Albert:

Glad that some of your crocuses survived. Lovely image of the trio.

Just curious about your techincals - I did not know that D600 can do ev at 0.03. Why HH with 3 sec cable release?

Hi gary!! Typo error the ev is + 0.3 the 3 second delayed release time is to wait for the mirror up slap to stop ... making for less vibration.. with the cable release i find i can manouver around the scene to put shade on my subjects better. with my body or a reflector. when taking moving subjects, i disconnect the 3 sec delay'

Albert love the shades of the flower, I guess you did the right thing by focusing from the top ..beautifully done

Albert: Love all the crocus shots lately and this one in particular. I like the repost but the original works great for me. Very well done. >=))>
