Beautifully shot John. The colours are spot on and the focus is great. I've never seen one in a pool before but the feathers on the head stand up nicely giving the bird real attitude (which we all know Jays have in abundance)

Beautiful image of a good looking Jay,
The water adds a lot to this post and the colors really POP. I do think a little higher shutter speed may of helped.

Well executed shot of a beautiful bird. It would have been easy to lose the bill in the background. V. nice detail in the large version.
