Shades of White

After I found this Crab Spider in a field near my home in western Oregon, I tried shooting it from every conceivable angle before it occurred to me that a white spider on a white English Daisy might look interesting against a white background. To get a low enough angle I held the camera flat on the ground and used live view to frame the composition.

Nicely composed and arranged for the high-key bg, Thomas. I like the way the spider is hanging from the daisy.

Thomas: Well conceived and executed. Just enough detail to define the subject. Well done.>=))>

Wow. There is so much white but this works. Its lovely. Delicate. I love the view of flowers looking up at them. I am renting the exact camera/lens you used - it will arrive tomorrow. Your photo is making me so very excited to go out and play!
