Lyrid meteor

Lyrid meteor over north central Kansas, Sunday morning. The clouds finally cleared in time for me to capture this one meteor. The red glows are a wind turbine field. I woke up in the middle of the night, set up my camera for a time lapse, and went back to bed, aka my car. I wish I had either put in a larger memory card or started a little later because the clouds were really clearing about the time my card filled up. 7D, ISO 800, 10 sec, f/3.5, 17mm, partially cropped to straighten the turbines.

Very nice. I especially like the little bit of whispy clouds with the ground illumination. The wind field is also a nice touch.
