Taken in bright overcast light with a snowy background giving the high key look to the image. I had to play ice breaker with my kayak while decked in camo until I was hidden in last years reeds. A pretty stiff breeze made for rough water that eliminated the reflection. Full frame with an oof reed cloned out on the right side.

good color and details in this photo. Maybe just a bit more detail in the water, or maybe not. Thanks for sharing.

Great portrait of this beautiful duck, Keith! Very nice details in the feathers. I like how the top feathers are ruffled up. . .almost reminds me of the Sydney Opera House.  I also like the unique look of smoothness in the breast feathers caused, I assume by a layer of water flowing down over the duck. This picture is a nice reward for all of the trying conditions you worked in to obtain it. Curious what the blurry object is in the water right below the duck.

I agree with Carolyn Derstein. Your choice of f/number really nailed the DoF on this one.

I like the bird and reflection, but not the little bottle. Did you use one of those little whiskey bottles to lure this guy into range? A very creative image on a couple of levels, then. If the bottle wasn't yours, was there a message in it?
