Very nice composition, Sean, with lovely, strong colour - and you've controlled the lighting on the droplets really well It's maybe a matter of personal preference whether you get the angle ( or straighten the image ) to get rid of the green bg - but I think I might have tried that. Also the anthers and petals look slightly soft ( maybe just a touch of sharpening ? ) and the stigma is out of focus, which I think is a shame. It's still got a lot going for it and I hope to see more.

I echo Ian's comments. A small crop and some sharpening would take care of all but the OOF stigma.

Sean: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet and thanks for a good first post. I shoot a lot of day lilies and always find the stigma a tough element to deal with. It is almost always well separated from the anthers and I find that if I include the tip of it in the comp it needs to be sharp. I think a tighter crop to eliminate the green corners would also make this stronger. great to have you aboard and looking forward to more.>=))>
