We're having periods of sunlight & clouds, highs in the mid 80's. Here the sun has mostly broken through, with some mid-afternoon light.
F/8, 1/800th, ISO 640, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + Kenko 2x ext. Central Texas.

Hey Howard,
Great colors and BG as usual, I really like the perch on this one and the way you included the upper leaves that balance out the composition so well.

Nice side lighting, Howard. I like the orange and green combination. Sometimes these birds can seem a bit too bright and this is a nice way to tone things down a bit. Well done. :toast:

The light is beautiful in this Howard. The pose of the bird is complemented in the curves of the tree trunk as well. Really nicely done.
