Bandon Beach, Oregon. Going through more old stuff to see what I may have overlooked, and found this. I like the soft light and color, but mostly the sand ripples. I was really loving the wide shallow beaches of Oregon. Thanks for your thoughts!

nice shot, chris! everything fits so nicely together - the soft light, the ripples, the distant rocks, their reflection. no nits from me!

Lovely mood here Chris, I like it a lot. But I might spike the highlights/midtones just a tad.

The subtle colors are wonderful and I sure like the leading lines that the waves and sand create. The gentle/somber mood is great, but I too wonder if it's possible to subtly lighten without loosing the mood.

Lovely. The glowing light is very nice and the fg texture is a great element

Very beautiful Chris. The ripples make the shot, they add depth and texture. I also like that rock in haze further in the distance.

A beautiful evening (?) among cathedrals of stone. The soft ambience is great and I like this quite a bit, but also find it a tad underexposed.

I echo the opinions of others...everything is gorgeous here but I just want to turn the lights up a bit to see it all better.

Maybe I'm just in the mood for some soft light tonight but I really like the quality of light here, Chris. As usual it is expertly composed and beautifully rendered. No nits from me. :toast:

One of those images where opening the larger version puts one's mind at a calm and peaceful feeling, Chris. Like you, I like those ripples as well. Nice work as always.

Hey, thanks everyone! I was out of town since posting, so couldn't respond or make any adjustments until now.

I too was wondering if it wasn't just a little too dark. Here's an adjustment of 2/3 stop exposure, and a tiny curves tweek. It mildly intensified the color as well. Maybe pull the blues in the sand back to where I was?

Chris

Chris, I do like the repost much better. Although I didn't mention it in my comment I felt that the original post was a little dark, but I assumed that it was intentional so I didn't say anything about it. The repost is a significant improvement though. I personally like the blues in the sand and think that it adds to the composition because it mimics the layers of color in the sky.

Very good repost here, Chris. I did not catch the exposure issue as much on the original, was too intent on the ripples I guess....

Nice and peaceful Chris! Bandon is such a cool place and you captured it well here.

Maybe a touch more contrast?
