Myers Parrot

I have to confess to trying to get a "clean" image of this bird for years, but they are usually either high up or well hidden by leaves. This one presented itself quite nicely in an open area, albeit requiring a very large crop.

Nice detail, you compensated well for the exposure. One more f stop could have brought the perch into focus but when the subject appears we don't have time to think of the perch, do we? A very good capture of what seems to be a hard to get bird. :toast:

It is a nice clean image, Ken. Good head turn as well and still very crisp.

Bird looks sharp and I the detail in the larger version -- oof stick on the right is a distraction to me

A very cool bird. Great techs, and the angle isn't so steep as to be distracting. Depending on ho you feel about such things, I might clone out the OOF branch at the right side. Maybe try and pull a little more detail out of the yellow shoulder patch? Worth a try.
