Cheetah Cub

This is one of three cubs, who were enjoying a nice meal of Impalla recently killed by their mum.
There is plenty of distracting foliage around it which I do not mind, I just wonder what others might think.

I find that the foliage helps the photo Ken it looks like the cub is taking a peek at you and creates a nice frame . It's nature
photography, not studio stuff and the environment should be shown IMO. :toast:

My attention is immediately drawn to the face and the intense gaze of the cheetah. So, for me the foliage has not had a negative affect, in fact I like the way it frames the subject and adds that needed realism. The real question I guess is whether the vegetation in the composition is as esthetically pleasing as you might want, that's subjective. There are some subtle pastel colors in the setting that I find quite attractive. Would love to see this nicely matted and framed! :toast:

Really nice capture in a very good setting. Face details are outstanding and very interesting. You handled the dof really well so that I am only drawn to that face.

I love the image. Maybe I would have brightened the white areas a tad.

The larger photo is a must-see, Ken! The clarity is fantastic! The cheetah just seems to jump out of the screen!

Ken,
I almost missed this one, glad I opened it! I agree with the other comments, the foliage is excellent as you managed the DOF and sharpness perfectly. The blood and the bit of something on the head are great details. :jump:
