Grey Crowned Crane

In my opinion Africa's most beautiful Crane. The shores of Lake Kariba are the furthest south I have ever seen one, although they are found in the west of South Africa. This is one of a pair that we have seen quite regularly over the past few years.

A magnificent bird well presented Ken, it must be nice to drive around and capture scenes like this. As usual, a sharp picture, a good comp. in a natural looking environment. :toast:

Great pose & sharp details, like this natural setting a lot Ken.
Interesting 'layers' to this comp, starting with the grasses FG :toast:

I like the head turn and pose. I have only seen these in the zoo, so it is nice to see one in it's actual environment.
