Nothing fancy, just a photo of the most awesome wild male lion I had ever seen...photographed this November past in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (Kalahari desert).

I think we've seen this fella before. Hugely impressive beast. I particularly like the variation in colours on his mane and the purposeful look.

I've been trying to figure out if I saw this guy or not, but based on the hairdo I don't think so. That mane is amazing!

An impressive beast for sure Morkel! Nice portrait and the blood-stained mane makes him look very mean :cool: I am sure you must have noticed though how the looks of a lion can change within less than 30 minutes. I have see lions with crazy wild manes only to witness that 30 min later after some licking and facing the breeze they look like hollywood models with long perfectly blow-dried golden hair. :wink:

Very impressive male, and that pink mane looks like he's been to a men's beauty parlour! However, I'm not too keen about his body being cut off in this frame...... :confused:
